I had turned off automatic updates, but it still seems that they are getting pushed somehow onto my laptops, and it's driving me spare. Moreover, I have tried Destroy Windows Spying, GWX Control Panel, and a few other apps (forget which ones) but they all seem to get rid of the problem until a reboot.
